I've watched both fights the russian had with the future ATG's
and beleive he didn't show the kind of killer instinct to hurt and
finish his man(except in the end with rjj)
He went after maccarenelli and alexeev, 2 less skilled but much more
dangerous punchers, with a pitbull mentality, but just chose to box
tentatively with both jones and even moreso with JT. He also went after
Huck who is a killer in the punching power dept without caution, so I
don't think leb was hiding glass or anything like that. I genuinly beleive
that he just showed too much reverance to these ol' african american
greats and was happy just to get the "W."
With that being said, I think that the former paratrooper lebedev showed
alot of smrts and poise in both his fights with the HOF'ers, and think
that he'll eventually be involved in the decision on the cruiserweights
    new RING magazine champion.

    You know what's funny?

Jones performed better then Toney, despite getting stopped. To think people were giving Toney such a good chance

I just would like to know what would've happened had leb just boxed smart long enough to get the upperhand and then went for the kill?
I really think he could've gotten a legit tko over toney.

He definitely gained valuable experience from this fight that will
    help him in the future.

Could be the man at cruiser but I'd like for him to be more relaxed at times ,sometime he looks to stiff when he throws his punches ..

You will probably scoff at this but in some countries where pro boxing is relatively new, they sell big time commercial money with the expectations of high advertising returns. In short the longer the main event goes the more commercials are aired and the more money gets generated on both ends of the economy.

So it is not unheard of to essentially suggest that the host counties participant extend the fight for as long as possible.

I beleive it ,its all about the mighty dollar ..Im sure some American sports currently do that now as far as extending a game or a match ..
