Lebedev v Toney - 3.00pm-8.00pm Friday on Sky Planner

The Jones fight card started at 2:30pm and the main event started at 4:30pm so I'd guess at 5pm. They love to drag out the build up in Russia. For Sillakh's fight on the Jones undercard they got his opponent in the ring, then invited Povetkin in for a chat for about 10 minutes then finally called Sillakh in. :nut

Toney has left this about five years too late. He could have dominated cruiser and made for some great fights when he beat Jirov. Instead he ballooned up to fight an old, shot Holyfield and has done precisely nothing of note since (well, except the ND for cheating against Ruiz).

It might be a fun fight, but what’s the point?

He evidently beat Peter in their first fight IMO.

He looks in good nick, I reckon he'll win.

 

I'd be surprised if Lebedev was anywhere near as bad as he was vs. Jones. If he produces the same inept performance, he'll be in trouble. But I do see him winning this one then hopefully going back to more relevant fighters at the weight from then on.

One thing to consider with the start time is Russia haven't bothered putting their clocks back this year

I thought it was close - Toney was a little too inactive and allowed Peter to look the busier man, IIRC. Toney clearly lost the second fight though - Peter outboxed him. It was surreal.
