Lebedev's KO of Roy: Cheap shot, or just bad reffing?

Terrible refereeing! That guy should be sacked, he was completely incompetent. Jones is clearly out on his feet, and is pretty much gone, and he hesitates to step in when he should have, which allows Lebedev a clear shot at a defenceless fighter.

 

Awful reffing. Fight should have been stopped once Roy was out on his feet after that first right hand, maybe some of the uppercuts at the very most.

However, Lebedev was ****ing classless to hit a shot 40+ year old legend with that shot when he was clearly in no fit state to defend himself.

80% the refs fault, 20% Lebedevs.

 

I say 100% the refs fault, Lebedev is just a fighter, he does whatever he can to win. That is the referee's job to protect Jones, not Lebedev's, and the referee was completely incompetent.

 

If the ref stepped in before than it would be the Green KO all over again -- crying about to early stoppage.

I agree with you man, but Lebedev was wrong to throw that shot. Plenty of other fighters would have noticed Jones being half dead and walked away with their hands in the air.

 

Smoger is a ****ing idiot, everyone wants to rate him highly because he's the opposite of Joe Cortez but IMO he's almost as bad.

 

The ref was awful.

Lebedev didn't show much class either, saying that though i'm not sure he knew Roy was out.

 

a fighters job is to finish the fight,its a hurt business..long as the other fighter is standing he is fair game...the ref is suppose to protect the fighter..100 percent the refs fault

 

man looked at the ref to stop it and did his job.instantly after it was over he was moving people out of the way to make sure Roy was ok......
