Bud, any fight for a title that is made at a "catchweight" is an abomination that shits on those who previously held the belt imo.

  4. Marquez? :deal

And then he didn't even make the weight himself... or did you forget?

    scotty...i agree

i happen to think pacs 154 title is a farce

what im saying is...your previous comment made it seem like you were unaware floyd had a previous 154 title that he won against oscar

"agree. If he wins it's a genuine 154 belt unlike Pacs which was a farce"

I knew PBF already had a belt up there. Just giving floyd credit (for once) about not trying to stack the cards.

yaeh ... Cotto will be weighting 154lb but his blood will be drained
to the last drop with all the needles in Floyd's pocket.

Hey at least he try to give marquez a chance by coming down in weight to meet Marquee. He didn't make it and stuck at 146. He tried.

Deserves credit? what kind of bullcrap language is that? the #1 or #2 p4p fighter fighting a decent fight does not deserve credit. it's what he's supposed to do.

no, he doesn't deserve any credit for it. Cotto was a flawed but good fighter throughout his career, he is a flawed but good fighter now, years older and a few pounds heavier, but still the same guy.

as sam_sunders said, Floyd's the best fighter in the planet, he is supposed to fight guys who can challenge him. Outside of a flukish lucky shot, Cotto should not be able to do ANYTHING to Floyd.

Cotto is getting credit for beating one of the sloppiest ex-welters in history who to be fair was a real physical presence, and for doing pretty much the same stuff he did in the first margarito fight once again with a more damaged guy, it just stopped earlier. His improvements at the higher weight are alarmingly "what have you done for me lately" revisionist perceptions.
