While watching the Quintana-Williams fight, I noticed that Harold was giving Paul way too much credit and giving him rounds that he definitely did not deserve. The best example of this was the 11th round, where Quintana just embarrassed Williams with straight lefts and outboxed him very convincingly. I personally scored the fight 4-2 in the first 6 rounds and 4-2 in the last 6 too, with Quintana sweeping the last 3 rounds of the fight for sure. I thought that Carlos wasn't going to get the decision he deserved because of HBO's display of bias, but he got the UD in the end and I'm happy for him. Anyone else thought he was going to get robbed after seing Harold's scorecard? P.S: Congrats to Carlos Quintana: Puerto Rico has another champ!!!:happy :happy :happy
I have watched a lot of fights on HBO and I always respected his scorecards but i feel that he has been on the decline lately.
I was pissed as hell after seing the scorecard before round 12, I think I had never seen Harold score a fight so badly in my life.
Lederman seems to favor the favorite (HOUSE) fighter most of the time, so incase the Judges would have given it to Williams(like alot thought they would) he wont look so bad. Remember how he scored the Barrera/Marquez fight. I saw A clear WIN for El Indio, but was thinking he was NOT gonna get the (W) after all the HBO bias.
115-113 for Paul Williams He's just there so casual fans can have an opinion to go off of when it comes to scoring. He's more a personality than a pseudo-judge anyways. His style is totally predictable at this point, you know what he's gonna say before he even starts speaking.
I usually like Lederman too. 11th round just made me get that feeling like Williams was gonna win no matter what. Did anyone else freak out when they said "new WBO WW champ" When i heard those scores and that it was unanimous i thought for sure Williams would get it. That made my night seeing the right man get the decision.
