That's not it's exact definition. You won't find many credible sources who'll tell you that to be crude you must also be lacking in skill. Aside from saying he had no skill I would be in agreement with the above, but he always strung the punches together well, he was never lacking in technique nor has he shown a poor sense of shot selection.

Nor do I, but he's still competitive at the highest level(at 115lbs anyways) and went life and death with Hugo Cazares on two seperate occasions. He's the type of fighter that would've arguably beaten or at least had a very close fight with the more ragged version of Rojas, whereas the improved version of Gusano beat him clearly.

The signs he showed in that fight come under the point I'm trying to make too. He would get nailed by a right hand but hold on and get back to outboxing Nobuo, whereas before he would've engaged immediately and unloaded a 20 punch salvo. He was able to keep his cool and retain his boxing, even when he landed on Nashiro with a big shot he wouldn't get carried away, which would have been a custom of his previously. Many times he caught the Japanese flush with a left uppercut and rather than go all-out and likely failing, he was judicious in his work, jabbed, went to the body and put a few extra shots behind it with greater frequency.

They're tell-tale signs of a man who's made a significant improvement. Against a guy who'd beaten adversaries as good as Martin Castillo and only been beaten in very close contests, he won clearly by being intelligent and not ragged as he was previously. I don't care if you rate Nashiro or not, he's at the very least a top 10 fighter at his weight, and Tomas beat him by a margin he was never beating fighters in that class before.
