It's a 10 rounder for the wbo euro mate..! And if he's already fit (as he should be as he wasn't long outta the ring) then it shouldn't be much of a problem, Lots & I mean Lots of fights are taken at less than this notice. Yes not ideal, but as I say - when oppurtunity knocks some times it has to be seized.
yes loads do take short notice jobs in title fights, the high percentage lose were not in the habit of lossing
Hes on holiday mate for 2 weeks in which id imagine hed be enjoying time with his mrs eating well and the odd beer , his hands also need time to heal before he even looks at punching , knowing from what ive seen of brophy in terms of lifestyle and what he puts in hes very professional and unless theres a full camp he wouldnt entertain it
My mistake mate , was more pointing out he wouldnt take a short notice fight and having fought not only a week agon in terms of his hands and nick to eye healing up before even looking at going back into a training camp
Right I do get what your saying, but surely you get what I'm saying about good opportunities seldom appearing. I do believe now is the time that the likes of Brophy, Markham & Smyle (feel Blackledge holds the advantage with having the CW)need to get themselves into contention in the coming months, because I'd imagine it won't be long until the Lonsdale is vacant (after c.smith & rocky fight) then ALL above these guys will be fighting on the international scene consistently. So these guys will be the ones who pick it up and fight on...
yes I understand with regards to opportunities but from a professional point of view I'd rather wait until my fighter is 100%
Fair enough, can't argue with that. Obviously you'll know the ins & outs a lot more than me. I'd have Brophy beating Markham I think, Lee is a little too one dimensional for my liking, think a good bit of movement & countering would have him caught out.
