Lee Mcallister on the Haye Undercard

i second that top dog, although to say hes the best boxer in Scotland since scott harrison borders on comical.

 

For me Lee McCallister always comes across pretty decent, I have cheered him on in the fights I have seen him in. Hopefully he gets a crack at that Euro belt or gets a few fights against the top Brits at his weight.

 

agreed Mazallan,if john murry wins the euro i wouldn't imagine hed want to go over old ground as he beat Lee convincinly in the end,so Lee has the chance to fight top uk fighters and the No1 guy in Scotland is Willie Limond! why doesnt Lee or his team want to fight Willie?big fight in Scotland for both boys:huh

 

Scotland has some great potential for all Scottish fights at the moment. Hope we do not miss out on these.

I think Lee has a better chance of fighting for the Euro belt than Murray at the moment unless something extraordinary happens.

 

if mcallistster stand off and boxes he should punch the head 0f murphy all night
but if he lets himself get involved in a scrap it could sap his strength just like the
murray fight

 

i dont think lee would envy that one willie limond has been a great little pro
he has never got the fights he has craved for only because the promoters
are very wary of putting their champs and good prospects in with a very solid
ring operator-ask (amir khan the night of the slow count)

 

Aye Billy, I would love the two of them to have a fight, would be a good one, but dont see it happening sadly. Is Willie training just now given the sad news about his uncles?

 

I've heard he's a cocky **** who (maybe used to) start a lot of **** in town etc. etc.

You hear a lot of trouble from his family, at least.

Just going from what I've heard mind you. A friend of mine reckoned she spoke to him once and he was offended she didn't know who he was!

He used to be in alot of trouble with fighting, especially in Ellon but he seems to have sorted himself out.

His family is alright, his immediate family like his Dad and brothers are all fine. Knew his cousins who were alright aswell.

 

I just mean the criminal element and reputation they have... I've even heard young bams saying "they run this city"

Just to clarify I don't know any McAllisters or anything, but I think there the type of family that young people who know them would throw around the name in empty threats. "I know the McAllisters! You're a dead man!" And so I think a lot of people don't like Lee due to this rep.

 

i agree with you,but if you have been in the top 3-5 in the ratings since the amir khan fight and not been beat surely the BBBC should have long before now sanctioned a british title shot even if:huh promoters want to avoid him or not.

 

I must say it is ridiculous he hasn't been given a shot yet. You think he could really beat Murray, Billy? (silly question cause I think I know the answer :good)

Limond - Lee would be a good Scottish bout, but I'm not 100% if Limond could beat him at this point.

 

Exactly, abit of a reputation they have.

 

Think Lee a good lad abit off his head but hes very down to earth and good kid he thinks hes funny and always playing joker . Im sure it was all harmless banter as for his family there is a few of his extended family are in and out nick but most of them are bussnes men and sound

 

I would like a better opponent but nevertheless another domestic fight so I won't complain. It's great to see so many domestic fighters on display. This is great exposure for them on a decent PPV. To make this PPV worth it's cash they still need to put MORE on the card.
