I do concede its a bif IF though, cos Im worried that Craig thinks too highly of this guy, & doesnt believe he can win & settles for going the distance... However if I can see flaws in Lee then Im certain that Roach will have seen them too, & if Craig executes the gameplan correctly? I look forward to coming on here to congratulate my fellow countryman, & having a good gloat of course
I have watched a good few of his fights, & to me hes not the fastest, & can plod forward at times & walk onto big shots when hes otherwise in control of a fight. Hes big and awkward & has a good boxing brain & a good punch, but he has glaring weaknesses too if you ask me, being hes kinda slow, tends to gas out & has bad concentration. Craig has stamina problems too though, but Im backing his quicker hands & better defence to win him this fight:good
dunky mcewan is'nt that great a prospect, he spars good thats why hes so well thought of at the wildcard when its his night he gets pushed to close decisions by journeymen as for lee hes no better himself atif belchicam really piled up the pressure on him and he looked lost like he was against vera.
You could very well be right, Im still of the opinion that Craig can go all the way, but he really needs to beat Andy lee & vice versa! Both guys have a helluva lot on the line for this one, but I see something special in McEwan & thats why Im backing him for this one! I can see your side of it though as both guys have had their off days, but Craig did pull of a good win against Vera who is going well just now! Its a very interesting fight, & Im just glad both guys have taken this risk, although I think Lee & that deluded trainer of his Manny Steward think this is going to be a walk in the park...
Lee has quick hands and a lethal body punch, Mcewan will have to have be the best hes ever been in any fight 888888888
Lee has quick handd and a lethal body punch, Mcewan better fight the best fight of his professional career if hes to beat Lee.
lright dunky ,hope your well! Craig has employed a fitness and conditioning coach, this the new one that khan is using .He has been in the pool anmd doing running at the tracks, which he has never done before to prepare for a fight (although he has done the usual road word etc) ,his sparring with martnez opponents has gone well ,better than expected in some aspects and hes isint looking past the Lee fight. he wont have roach in his corner on the night ,but will have the serivices of a guy who i only know as ell jessy but it is someone who he has worked extensivly ,and el jessy (think his real name is Jesus arevelo) has worked donaires corner in the past . hope that clears a few things up
Dzinziruk sparred 10 brisk rounds with Ukranian middleweight David Tabatadze (6-1-1, 1 KO) and Scottish junior middleweight Craig McEwen (19-0, 10 KOs), and the veteran gave the prospects all they could handle with his well-timed jab and pin-point combinations. McEwan, who faces Irish middleweight standout Andy Lee in the HBO-televised co-feature to the Martinez-Dzinziruk fight, was awed by the Ukrainian‘s skill and ability. “I’ve been sparring with the best fighters at the Wild Card gym but nobody there compares to Dzinziruk,” said McEwan, who has sparred the last three weeks with the 154-pound titleholder. “If I can hold my own with Sergiy Dzinziruk I can handle Andy Lee." http://ringtv.craveonline.com/videos/video/260391-sergei-dzinziruk-sparring-training-and-interview who has lee being sparing
lee has been sparring domonique dolton another undefeated lad called mark tucker I think and demetreius andrade
Most of the Irish posters on here really overrate Lee, he's a decent enough prospect and not a young one at that. Like i said in my post, I don't think there's any great difference in their respective skillsets and McEwan has the better record
