I train to try and understand technique more. I smoke weed, lack strength and fighting ability and have a fulltime job. Needless to say I don't take training seriously but rather watch other fighters and learn from trainers just to observe how it's done. I'm not bothered whether people think I'm less of an authority on boxing or not because I've not fought. I'm a historian, not a trainer :good norfolkinchance I'm a fan of your posts just because you give that level of insight and perspective. Not something I've ever proclaimed to be an expert in.
**** you knobjockey, ive taken the zilch back dickface. So i have to prove that every ****ing brit euro or world champ have top am experiance, i know its ****ing true, you prove me wrong, go on,i will when i can be arsed, its knobs like you who are insisting that top am experiance makes you a world champ, so ****ing prove it or **** off
:|:| Hang on, where did I say that? Just making up stuff again I assume. The point stands though doesn't it, why have you got the right to insist people give you examples when you don't yourself? Probably because you're an arrogant loudmouth who thinks he's always right :good And in relation to this, people have shown how Britain's best at the moment & last10 years were well schooled in the amateurs so that kinds of negates your opinion too.
I like Purdy, as limited as he is he's great to watch and has improved greatly over the last 3-4 years, I remember when he started out I thought the kid wouldn't be more then a journeyman, he has a real solid look to him as Jim Watt likes to say. It will be interesting where Hearn goes with him next, I'd like to see him in with the Italian..can't remember his name, think hes the European champion.
Marcos Maidana made it to the quarter finals of the World Championships, suprising since his style doesn't seem suited for the amateurs.
In fairness all Maidana would have to do is land a cuffing shot and the refs would be stopping fights in an instant.
