Lee Selby in talks to fight Adrien Broner

Broner would absolutely bingo him. Selby is unfortunately done imo. He had fantastic footwork and picked his shots so well but he overstayed his welcome at featherweight. He took some big shots in his last fight with Douglas who didn’t respect his power and walked him down. 2 of the scorecards were too wide imo.

Whilst Broner is a massive muppet, he is a talented lad at 135 & way too much for Selby at 140. It’s a cashout i’m afraid for Selby.

 

Would be an awful fight to watch

Like Selby but I think boiling down to that weight may have ruined him... shame.

He was poor against a nobody last time out. Hopefully he’d be more adjusted to the weight now. Definitely shouldn’t move up to light welter.

 

I would like to see Selby drop down to SFW and fight Quigg, be a very good clash of styles.

 

Broner would stop him IMO. Like others have said Selby didn’t have power at 126 let alone 140. Shame really because technically he was fantastic, sad that the peak of his career was so badly mismanaged etc really.

 

Can Broner get down to 140 comfortably? I'm not so sure. Selby would probably feel a lot more comfortable at 140 but I'm not sure if he'd have enough power, although, in his prime, he was a technically sound boxer.

 

Broner founded his career on beating up smaller guys. Whenever he's stepped up he's been found out, so looks like he's back to his old ways.

 

He made it for the Mikey Garcia fight but for a fight against Selby he probably wouldn’t even train properly the lazy ****.

 

Let's be honest, for the good of the sport, we all want Broner to lose, he's a f**king moron and incredibly unlikeable. The big fights are over for him now so seeing him outboxed by a smaller Welshman would be a beautiful thing, although he'd probably still get a draw as he's still seen aa a gatekeeper.

 

Selby wasted his best years at Featherweight. Broner doesn't let his hands go and hasn't won a fight in over two years. Crazy to think they will both get a nice purse for this.

 

Broner as he is would beat Selby like a dog.

 

I really enjoyed watching the Selby Brothers, Andrew looked superb but has been badly managed, Lee spent too long killing himself, it's a real shame. Watching Andrew coast easily to a win against Rosales, after an early knockdown, made me genuinely believe that he was goig to become a World Champion. Wtf was he doing going over to Mexico. As pleased as I am for Charlie Edwards, he'll never be the classy boxer that Andrew was prior to the injury and ill advised last fight.

I hope Lee Selby does everyone a favour and delivers a decent performance and stays out of range, he has the ability to make Broner, a bum these days, look stupid, I just don't know if his body can do it anymore.

 

Weird fight. I can’t see Broner being bothered to get down to 140 for a fight like this so it’s either a catchweight or 147. Selby surely has no business That far up in weight.
