He did well enough and won as the scorecards indicate very easily but he is not moving on as I had hoped he might, I still think he wins the Euro title without much problem which is a huge achievement, however, he may struggle to win a world crown, although its nothing I would completely rule out. In terms of him being a revelation its not going to happen unfortunately, there are no secrets anymore, he is very good but not perhaps as good as many thought.
He didn't seem to b as slick and powerful last night. He boxed a solid fight but took a few to many punches I felt he cud have raised the pace and pushed walsh more into a fight and let the punches flow
Is not a World class Talent, good enough at Domestic level though and European but will lose to the Elite of the division/s.
Not the best performance by Selby but was a comprehensive enough victory the scorecards tell a slightly unfair story. I had 8-4 Selby Walsh fought a brave fight & set Selby plenty of questions early doors.He has gone through the domestic division with ease so when I hear he is domestic level only that tells it's own story. The accidental clash of heads x2 was a factor Selby sustaining cuts over both eyes.We will see in the next 12 months what he is about I rate him plenty don't on here!!Real fighter that divides opinion which I love about the sport!:good
Walsh gave it a go but at no point did he look like he had the tools to beat Selby. Walsh could certainly win the British title once Selby vacates it's pretty open.
