Lee Selby's maiden world title challenge will be against Evgeny Gradovich after the Russian held on to his IBF featherweight title with a draw against Jayson Velez. After an entertaining 12 rounds in Oklahoma, the judges were split with one in favour of the champion, one the challenger and one settling on a draw which saw Gradovich retain his belt. Selby is his mandatory challenger after his impressive victory over Joel Brunker last month. Thinking this is a very winnable fight for Selby.
imo this is likely to go to the judges, think there'll be a lot of tight rounds in this fight and home advantage could be key to edging a decision. don't think this will be a great fight to watch in all honesty, but hope Selby wins and will be favourite at home
Gradovich is a step too far , Gradovich is too fit, strong and relentless for boring fringe world level Selby. The Mexican Russian would win by a good few rounds.
