Harsh. For all Selby is a workmanlike boxer I was rooting for him against Warrington back in the day; there's just something about Warrington's "angry man" persona I just can't suffer. Plenty of boxers will go on to do far less than Selby.

Guy was getting pretty inflated purses for the level of opposition he was fighting if I remember rightly. The point I was making is that a lot of Haymon fighters are happy to settle with the big paydays at the expense of their activity and profile. Selby isn't the best example of this but I still put him in that bracket (Gary Russell Jr is by far the worst example of this).

They get paid what they are worth when in the ring - we don't have to like them all and Selby has stunk out far too many rings mate.

A dangerous very dirty fighter Lemos who can go on as long as his determination and will to succeed remain intact. A motivated Selby would have beaten this guy however but in the end he succumbed to a flurry of body shots and illegal blows. Referee stops contest with Selby on one knee after his third count of the fight. TKO5 Lemos.

it looked a great stoppage by the ref to be fair.

He was getting battered. No joy in seeing a fighter getting badly beaten up, even it is Lee Selby, the little twat

He wouldnt be getting knocked about in Argentina for low pay if he had a bigger profile in the UK. Which I feel he could have had if he had been more active when on the IBF title. I attribute some of this to him being signed with Al Haymon, whose fighters tend to well paid but at the expense of their activity/profile. In boxing your fights are the product, if you are fighting less often you are providing less of a product, therefore people lose interest. Again look at Gary Russell jr.

At the time selby and degale were the noticeable world champs who earned consistently more than they could of whilst world champ , but then on the backend lost out due to the lack of uk profile , i think selby could never of earned the purses he was getting for beating the likes of montiel etc , the frampton fight in ireland unification was the money fight he held out for , instead warrington beat him and frampton the little twat lol timing is everything . For selby the time is up especially at 135 , suprised he skipped 130 completely
