Lee Selby vs. Joel Brunker & Anthony Joshua vs. Denis Bakhtov RBR

I think the loser should be interviewed first and let him go early.

 

It's effectively a home-fight for Joshua (lives just outside London) and Matchroom and Sky want to build him into a superstar.

Selby couldn't sell out a phone booth and being a Welshman you couldn't possibly make him the main event on a London card.

 

Fair play to Boylan, he must be gutted but I like that when a fighter credits his opponent after a defeat and makes no excuses or starts claiming he was robbed.

I like Selby, but he has absolutely zero personality.

The whole 'Welsh Mayweather' stick was embarrassing.

Believe me, if Hearn could get Selby to sell-out venues in Wales he'd have him fighting there.

In a lot of ways Hearn is hoping Selby beats Brunker and then Gradovich as he can create a huge fight in Leeds vs Warrington.

Look at Selby putting his hands down in the promo like he thinks he's Prince Naseem Hamed.

 

I do not know that much about Brunker if I'm honest, I'm sure I've seen him a couple of times before.

Anybody know much about him? Is this going to be hard work for Selby?

 

Not really true. Plenty of tickets available earlier this week.

Part of the problem is that London really isn't a huge boxing city anymore. Granted they had the Wembley fight, but that was such a one-off.
