Fitzgerald is marching forward with the jab flapping out, just missing Lee's face or brushing it as he backs up. Nice placement by Lee with his counter lefts and torqued right hooks, pulling back like a spring and twisting at the waist for momentum. Lee is beginning to catch Fitzgerald with counters during almost every step forward. Excellent out-boxing by Lee, moving and jabbing in rhythm.

Same score, and don't feel we're being at all overly generous. I think the first three were genuinely close but I'm hesitant to score based on starpower and nudge over a close one that might otherwise slightly favor the unknown.

 

Round 5

Fitzgerald is pushing on and making Lee duck right hands, then forking out jabs and swinging in hooks around the side before Lee can straighten. Lee is looking more uncomfortable, unable to get counters off. Lee is backing straight off and pawing out his jab. Fitzgerald keeps herding Lee around the ring, a lot of his shots picked off but keeping Lee almost totally quiet and managing to trick Lee at times with feints to get him ducking before landing a left hook.

Round 6

Fitzgerald is tossing Lee to the ropes and jumping atop him, hooking the body. Heads clash. The ref warns them both. Lee and Fitzgerald grin in acknowledgment. Southpaw and orthodox, it's bound to happen - especially with one man aggressively rushing in. Lee paws his right jab but doesn't snap it, and Fitzgerald just saunters past it to work the body and momentarily trap Lee on the ropes. Lead left by Lee, into the guard. Fitzgerald ducks and bobs on the way in, then falls atop Lee with a lead right. clinch. Fitzgerald swings and misses with a big left hook as Lee dips back. Clinch by Lee. Fitzgerald walks forward, a jab whistling by his head while a hook and uppercut bite into his body. Lee can't hold Fitzgerald off.
