Round 2

A couple of hard rights by Selby coming forward, pushing Okine toward a corner. Now some left hooks downstairs. Okine blocks and tiptoes around him, pumping out some jabs. Very low work rate by Okine. Selby is flipping jabs up from the hip while circling left. Lead right uppercut from outside by Selby, missing and prompting Okine to throw a flurry. Selby fires back but neither man lands clean despite both throwing with conviction. Right to the body by Selby, and then a clubbing right over the top that mostly hits shoulder. Okine thrusts his jab up coming forward, then leaps off his feet with a hook as Selby backs up. Flash jabs by Selby. Clinch. Whipping right behind a jab by Selby. Okine is trying to punch with him but hasn't got his timing down. Jabs and rights put in from outside by Selby.

20-18 Selby

 

Damn, Selby somehow managed to pick up a nasty welt under his left eye.

 

The crowd is so sparse you can hear what each individual is shouting. It's mostly a couple of young-sounding women doing most of the vocalization.

 

Round 3

Selby is holding out jabs in Okine's face, circling left. Okine is looking to crowd in past the jab, but not reckless. Okine able to pull back and slip a jab. Okine lurches in and lands a hook. Jab to the chest by Okine stepping through. Jab and uppercut by Selby leaning down against him. Right hand by Selby circling out. Okine keeps coming forward but stopping short just in front of Selby. Right to the body by Selby. Jabs circling out to the left by Selby. Wild hooks by Okine, and wild looping rights very wide as Selby circles off.

Round 4

Selby is popping jabs to head and body now, not having to move as much and keeping Okine still when he lands. Selby backs up and Okine comes forward swinging wide. Jabs into the guard by Selby, stepping left. Okine tries to jab at his chin on an incline but Selby twists to have it deflect off his shoulder and lands his own long jab. Nice right to the body by Okine, but he pays for it as Selby hooks him in the jaw. Clinch. Overhand right shipped by Okine, high. Whipping left hook to the body by Okine. Clinch. Okine shaking Selby a bit roughly.

40-36 Selby

 

Round 5

Jabs thrown together, landing together. Left hook by Selby. Okine misses a shot and gets countered hard with a right. Pushed back into a corner. Okine chops back with some big rights. Okine slips to the canvas, some confusion as Selby steps back and the ref turns his back to Okine. Selby returns to the corner and brawls with Okine. Both landing big shots!! Selby mixing in body shots. Okine is looking more fragile, and finally gets pummeled down.

Okine glances out between the ropes into the eyes of his cornerman, not in a hurry to get off his butt. He starts to and gets waved off.

Selby's trainer says he is bringing him immediately back to the States (and presumably, Mayweather BC) to keep his head in the game by at least staying exposed to top class training while they await the next in-ring date. He says it's been frustrating not being able to keep him active enough in the UK.
