Alright, for those who saw the Monaco card - some were saying Belaev vs. Byrne was an early FOTY candidate and it had me regretting having missed it.

Was it better than Buckland vs. Rees so far, or about the same? (or not as good, just overrated by a couple of people in the RBR thread?)

In other words, how much of a hurry do I need to be in to hunt it down on Youtube? :yep

These punches to the body might get Buckland soon

    Round 6

Buckland is starting out with the jab and slapping right atop the head as Rees bends in. Rees starts to pinpoint his counters amidst the heavy work rate of Buckland, leading with powerful rocketing rights to the head and left hooks, backing Buckland up and hurting him slightly. Good sustained combination power punching by Rees as Buckland keeps flurrying.

    10-9 Rees

    58-56 Rees

I think Buckland is saving himself for the later rounds, he's not loading up as much as he did. But he's being hurt to the body by Ree's, I think Buckland is more likely to be KTFO, given what happened in the Stephen Smith fight, he does leave himself open for big swinging uppercuts and hooks.

    Round 7

Buckland is sticking the jab out straight and dropping the right hand like an anchor. Rees is ducking and weaving in with the hook to the body and his arms crossed over his face in a shield. Rees paints Buckland's face with a light combo as Buckland claps a right hand on his shoulder. Hard body shots by Rees, pressing in and digging his elbows into Buckland's midsection after landing. Uppercuts on the face by Buckland. Rees is leaning in, resting.

10-9 Rees but may have punched himself out, barely making it to his stool.

    68-65 Rees

    Round 8

Buckland is ducking as Rees hurls up the right hand from the crouch, and hooking the body. Buckland is caught by a few left and right hooks that knock out his gum shield as he tries to hold. Double right hand by Rees. Buckland answers with a left hook and right hand. Left hook and right uppercut is the next sequence from Buckland, deflected off the moving gloves of Rees. The referee interrupts them - gum shield out? Unclear. Time in. Body shot by Rees. Double left hook up top by Rees. Buckland lands a hook, right, hook as Rees bends in toward him, face exposed. Flurry to the body by Rees. Right hook to the body by Rees. Body shots by Buckland. Left hooks doubled into the armpit by Rees. Buckland is smothering him into the ropes, churning the body. Hard left hook on the chest by Buckland. Big upper-hook on the gut by Rees. Buckland is clamping down on him with both fists, keeping Rees on the ropes. Chopping double right on the face by Buckland. Flurry into the nose by Buckland.

    10-9 Buckland

    77-75 Rees

4- 4 whatever happens neither man will be a threat to the top LW in the UK Rees is nothing like he once was and Buckland will get smashed by Burns or Mitchell

Rees is probably dismayed at this being an eliminator now. :yep

Were it scheduled for ten he could get on his bike and maybe eke out a draw, or, with some luck, still get the nod.

Four to go? Rough path ahead...Buckland looks a great deal fresher.
