Fighting in April, a defense of his titles according to Eddie Hearn.

How about Samir Mouneimne the only guy to beat him. He has just won an eliminator for the British title. Still unbeaten in 12 fights.

It would be good for Selby to avenge his loss and like i said, the guy is unbeaten and well ranked in Britain.

Also this is Selby's third defense so assuming he wins it would be good to see him move past domestic level and on to Euro or even some good ranked international opponent.

Who do you guys think will be in the opposite corner in April?

Id personally hate a smith rematch. Selby was way too good for him last time. I think Smith could make it a better fight this time but i still see an easy night for Selby.

I really dont mind who it is as long as he gets tested at least a little bit. But like i said you know its always good to avenge a loss. I think it would help him mentally knowing he has undone the one glitch on his record and help him move forward even more.

Samir is a dangerous oponent with the risk factor too high and he is relatively unknown in britain so i cant see them taking that fight just yet

Smith fought like an idiot in the first fight thinking he could walk straight through selby with zero head movement and just bully him. Even in the simpson fight Smith stood in front of him far too much, if he used his boxing skills a Selby rematch would be a lot closer although he would probably still lose. He was out for ages as well as his missus gave birth plus he had an operation on his hand, so he is still recovering, so there is no way his team would put him back in with Selby at the moment.

Frankly, thats laughable...stick a red hot Selby in the ring with a man who won't have fought in 14 months....Maybe Selby needs easing into his new contract :-( Shocking fight.

murray wud b mad to take it, he hasnt fought for 12months and only 2 fights in 2 years its a shame he had the problems with jg and the hattons was looking good and had 2 fights for english title called off against an unbeaten fighter that wud have been testing (imo he wud hav lost) his no where near ready to take on selby. imo it sud b samir won a eliminator unbeaten and holds a win over selby. im sure his in camp already for a show in hull.

I agree mate, i dont think Murray will take it at 5 weeks notice (he shouldnt)

maybe its a ploy by Hearn just in case they get a poor replacement in he can say 'well we offered it Murray' knowing full well he couldnt take it at that notice....then again super Eddie wouldnt do something like that would if you believe everyone on here only W*rren would.

It will be the guy who beat Selby years back, makes sense as he can revenge the loss and secure the Lonsdale outright.

Roberts would get executed in a few rounds by Selby, he has no power at all.
