    WAR

Although Choi is past his best that would be an epic fight with an epic build-up. One of the those fights that divides the forum in 2 & sets brother against brother.

Eddie, if you are reading this please, please, please make that fight happen.

It has fight of the year written all over it lads and it will be a hell of a measuring stick to gauge what level Selby is at and how far he may or may not go.

Literally sink or swim. Selby has a massive punch, as does Choi. Choi's chin is proven. Selby is longer but has little inside game. Choi is great at tearing into a taller opponent. Choi has been seasoned against World class opposition from the start of his career, but is past his best and in his 40s.

If you look at it, there seems to be more going for Choi. Selby is above domestic level. Choi is a fringe World class fighter outside the style of the more traditional European stylists Selby would be expected to move onto in the next 10-12 months.

Do it. If Selby is the goods, and I think he is, he will be able to cope with Choi enough that even if he loses he will give a good account of himself and learn. Old school matchmaking. Do it. F'n do it!

Eddie says no unless it's a final final final final final eliminator.

Totally agree, In fighting Choi win or lose he will learn so much from it and like you say a loss is not the end of his career, I wish more emphasis was made to that fact.

I edge slightly towards Selby, Choi isn't getting any younger, he's been in wars and providing Selby gets to the second half of the fight I think that may tell. Saying that I wouldn't be at all surprised If Choi gets the better of a shootout and stops him.

    Cracking fight.

Yeah, I'm thinking Choi will stop him but I'm also confident Selby will make improvements in the next year. Gets better each time I've seen him so I have that go on, question is what's his ceiling?

    Enter Choi :bbb

Does it annoy you that fighters will stick around at british level to win the belt outright and end up fighting poor oppo? pisses me off a bit. why go backwards.

    Choi in April
    European in June
    Defence in September
    Eliminator in December

Thats what Selby should be doing.

Whoa! It does a bit Rob but would you chuck Selby in with Choi so soon? In guessing you think he'd do better than that French guy the other year and avoid getting caught with a knockout blow. It's feasible but I'd like a step up and then Choi, who is already one of the best featherweights based in Europe.

Who is the European champ? I'm well out of touch.

Selby will beat Choi now IMO, the kid is for real.

He's got all the tools to go right to the top, speed, power, strength add to that a great engine and he looks to have a solid chin, just look at the sparring sessions with Buckland to see how tough he is, brutal sparring.

The slight concern when facing a banger like Choi is Selbys defence, he'll need to tuck that Chen, he wasn't even attempting to defend himself at times against Lindsay, but I think he knew Martin couldn't hurt him.

Would be a belter, but I'd go with Selby to win wide on points.

This guy. I think Selby beats Choi. Heard he got the better of him in sparring.

Not sure if I saw his fight with Truscott or not...nah don't think I have.

I see he beat a Thai so he's obviously at least...an all time great :D

Evensen looked average but undersized against Burns so I imagine he'd have been a okay feather. Yeah, I'd go for him, why not? On paper, a terrible way to judge a fighter, and I have no idea how they'd match up stylistically but this is the kind of level Selby needs to be moved into immediately.

Lads get on twitter follow me @ferociousflea and hound those that I'm hounding. It can't hurt. Get your followers to do the same. It can't hurt!

Very true, Joe Murray wouldnt stand a chance. Selby has cleaned up at British level, who else would give him a decent fight. He needs to move on to Euro level now. He is going to win a world title, so strong at the weight and so slick.

I think Murray & Moumainne are the only UK fighters that would come to win.

Choi would not be that competitive, 80:20 fight imo. Selby far too big and slick, plus Choi is past his best now.
