You know over the last two or three fight Junior has picked it up a bit, he has added to his arsenal and seems to have found a style that fits him very well. With that said I am left wondering here what are the Chances Lee has this weekend? I mean he looks much taller, is a south paw has Stewart in his corner who we know is going to have a game plan for the fight. I honestly cant pick a winner, though I lean towards Chavez I still get the feeling that Lee may have the tools to pull this one out. Logic and all of it says Chavez, but does it really? Chavez has received quite a few gifts in fights we know he lost, Vanda for example, Molina, does Andy Lee have the goods to officially put a loss on Juniors record?
It depends which Lee shows up I've followed his career for a while now and he has often abandoned his reach and height and let his opponent inside by simply holding out his left hand instead throwing an authoritative jab that we know he has His power and chin are unmistakeable but hes often unable to combine it with good defense and smart boxing But when he does, hes almost untouchable (see the second vera fight- his most recent)....awesome pot shotting combined with excellent reflexes and power, if he fought like that every time, he'd be p4p at least with chavez we know what to expect. If the lee from the vera fight shows up, he'll stop chavez otherwise i can see chavez grinding him down by round 10
Jr. He looks a little tired at the presser so hopefully weight isn't an issue, but I still think he will win. People underrate him IMO
I agree, But then again just cus I agree doesnt mean thats whats going to happen. Jr has impressed me the last few outtings he is really putting it together lately.
Ah man, I don't know. . . Too many possibilities. . . I could most likely see a very controversial, early stoppage after the fight is being contested on somewhat even terms, and Jr. has been rocked many times. . The ref doesn't want to risk Lee getting off with the KO, so to save Arum's cash cow from that possibilities, he stops the fight the first time Chavez gets Lee into a shell and flurries. . . That's my pick. . . Another terrible, terrible stoppage call around the 8th round, for a fight that has been contested on even terms. . .
Chavez has noo defense and he just wings shots,i believe andy lee keeps him at bay with the jab and lures him into that straight left.
