If Lee comes correct we will have a good scrap on our hands. If not Chavez TKO or KO in the late rounds.
Lee looked excellent in his last fight against another tough pressure fighting style. He controlled distance as good as anybody in boxing, and his right uppercut was excuted to perfection. Chavez is very tough but Lee's footwork has improved substantially. I'm going with Lee by a clear decision, but I wouldn't be surprised if they rob him.
Good to hear your opinion, SIR DIAMOND EYE! :good I enjoy reading your take on fights, and when you speak, I listen! I do think Lee's shutout of Vera, and boxing clinic, really got his confidence to 100%. . . But Vera is a lot cruder than Chavez; Chavez actually has one of the better left hooks to the body in boxing right now. . ANd his straight right upstairs, and 1-2, is improving with each fight. . His effectiveness with the straight right, and jab, will be what determines how he does in this fight. . . Lee is taller, and has a better straight left, but Lee's tall style of fightign can hurt him sometimes as he'll move straight back, and get clocked with that straight right. . . If Lee can turn Chavez like he turned Vera, he'll win (maybe not on the cards, though).
I appreciate that man, I try to be unbiased when I'm not trying to talk ****. I've seen that you know your stuff and I respect your opinion. Anyway, I agree with what you wrote, and I defenitely would not bet on this fight. I will say that Lee has probably benefited a great deal training with Wlad Klitschko. Wlad probably has the best control of distance in boxing, but he's also the hardest puncher, which I'm sure has a lot to do with it.
haha yeah, i know when you're just talking ****, and having fun. . I do the same - some people on here can't discriminate between serious boxing talk mode, and "taking the **** out" mode. . . agree 100% - At times in teh Vera rematch, he looked like a mini-Wlad in there (with an uppercut to boot!) I just hope it doesn't hurt him, because he doens't enjoy the drastic physical advantages like power, and physical strength that Wladimir enjoys, and in turn makes his style that much more effective. . . But if he can control distance, keep the fight on the outside for majority of each round, AND properly, and effectively shut down Chavez on the inside by simply tying him up, and turning him by side-stepping up, and under to his right - NO WAY he loses the fight (on the cards is a different story). . .
