No it's not, people just don't understand the context. If you have a critical mind and understand how to decipher scientific studies, and you have a large understanding of the published articles on that topic then it's all additional, there are no contradictions. You need to have a fundamental understanding of Biomechanical, physiological, and neuromuscular principles and how they intertwine. Frankly most people are too stupid to understand that, especially on a boxing forum. For someone who has a career in this area it feels like I'm often talking to actual re****s on here, so I often have no patience when talking to them. The things I talk about aren't a matter of opinion, I'm right. The only argument is in the degree, and no one I know of on here is anywhere near qualified/capable to debate that with me.
And dumb asses turn to philosophy, and pretend that established science is subjective and a matter of opinion. Wisdom doesn't mean everything is floating up in the clouds, wisdom is being honest and seeing what's what.
Nobody who actually knows anything about nutrition is ever going to claim milk isn't good for you. You need to learn what an expert is and what a credible source is. With nutrition in particular you get all sorts of quacks. Take nutrition advice from a registered dietician, that's it. Don't read headlines in the paper, and don't take anyone seriously who has something to do with being 'natural'. And again it's about context, if you're lactose intolerant milk isn't great. It doesn't increase mucous production either, that's a common myth.
dealt_with grow up and show some respect for yourself and the people here or don't bother replying. We're interested in some of the knowledge you have but your attitude stinks the joint up. :good
Have you read the update from on the thread Dempsey created on being a manager and the comments from Top trainers? I think you should. You never know it all 'EVER' now there's confidence and there's arrogance I'll let you choose which one one you ooze!
True, this is a boxing forum not a nutrition one.. How many fights have you had? How long have you been training?
As usual a sweeping statement from dealt-with that simply isn't true. "According to the Harvard School of Public Health milk isnt an essential part of a healthy diet and may pose risks." This content is protected
There are things the human Body does every day that science can't explain, like the Placebo Effect and dreaming. I'm finishing upper division classes for Kinesiology and I have to say most published articles are full of **** after a few months when something contradicts it, even if it's peer-reviewed. You have to actually do the sport to really see that there are natural talent in boxing. punchers are born, which means the way their body is structured and how they deliver the punch. Gaining muscle will not give you Tomas Hearns or Julian Jackson power. Do us a favor, Alex Ariza, go away cause boxers don't need a strength and conditioning coach.
