As a poster correctly mentioned, a leg injury doesn't turn you into a man about to fall into a coma. If confirmed though, well, his drunken stupor causing unbalanced movements late in the fight, and the half dozen times he fell onto the ropes could have caused a minor tear.

We have literally witnessed fighters who are completely depleted of any energy left whatsoever perform this exact desperate behaviour where they cannot coordinate their body parts any longer and wobble about like they've turned to spaghetti, it happens like in a video game where their energy bar has reached zero. He may well have injured his leg during this sequence of the fight but his reaction was not a unique or new occurrence in the ring, we have seen fighters go through this before. Hrgovic didn't go anywhere and turned the tide as the fight wore on. Price against Thompson is almost a replica in terms of how the fighter reacted once they'd become utterly spent, that man literally deflated and if the towel didn't come in, Itauma was going to end up folded over the side of the ropes too.

The leg injury sounds like a Frank Warren concocted excuse to protect itaumas stock which took a hit with that embarrassing loss. As others have said,a leg injury doesn't have you taking deep breaths as early as the first ****ing round!! I called it when he went back to his corner after the first. Never seen a professional fighter gas that early. His terrible gas tank and inability to cope with someone that could take his speed/power and actually throw back was his undoing and as the rounds went on it was clear he wasn't going to make it to the final bell

 

I don’t get what the debate is, we all saw what happened. Moses threw the kitchen sink at Hrgović, he didn’t fold, Moses had nothing left after the 8th. Start of the 9th Hrgović jumped on a exhausted, fully spent Moses and stopped him.

The ability that Moses has was never in question, the questions was the chin and gas tank checks. Tonight we got our answers. He wasn’t conditioned or prepared for Hrgović surviving an onslaught.

Leg injury is nonsense that’s the one thing that’s for sure. How Frank would even know that so quickly post fight is impossible as I guarantee Moses wasn’t having any conversations bar mumbling a few words to doctors. He may have mumbled my legs at some point, I’d bet my last dollar on that being the fact his legs feel like he’s just ran back to back marathons.

Hrgovic was most definitely teeing off on him and the writing was on the wall, Moses was done and he was a few shots away from being sent crashing with 0% chance of having anything left to stand back up. High chance he was gonna be out unconscious from a few clean ones.

Great stoppage, last thing you need when you are struggling for oxygen is extra head trauma. In my opinion Hrgović didn’t beat Itauma, he outlasted him, iron chin and iron will, maybe Moses will change his mind on just how important a chin can be especially at this level.

 

Hrgovic did not do anything special to "deplete" his stamina. No gameplan to go to the body, nothing but just stay there because of his chin. Itauma literally exhausted himself beating on him. Of course I expect a half decent fighter to land on an exhausted fighter, which Hrgovic did. But he didn't hurt him, he knocked down a pin who was too tired to continue.

 

Glass legs. But he beats prime wlad in 2, Ali in 5, Vitali in 7, Usyk in 8 , Joshua in 1. He is the best ever.

What Hrgo did was quite special. He displayed superior physical and mental strength to comprehensively defeat an elite opponent, similar to a James Jeffries effort against Fitzsimmons or Corbett. It's not a strategy that promises a long career but it can get you the strap.
