    Just a quick question.

I do a fair bit of road running usually 5-7 miles 4 times a week.
Is it worth doing a few squats with weight etc, or is the running more than enough.

    Much appreciated any tips/advice

    Thanks.

If you want stronger, more powerful legs then yes. If you don't, then no.

You must be one with the pistol.

The way of the puma is the way to speed and strength.

Even marathon runners use a weight routine involving squats so yes it would be beneficial in improving leg strength. It will also help reduce the risk of injuries by strenghtening the knees and lower back. What kind of routine will depend upon your personal goals.

Yeh, you should mix in other exercises if you want to improve it overall.

I wouldnt say Squats or lunges or anything specific yet....try experimenting and see what feels right for you. Squats arent for everyone for example. Even when some people use proper technique, they might still for example feel soreness in the knee or something so ...you gotta experiment a bit with some exercises and see what feels right.
