Ask Tyson. It's his legacy that's paying his bills now.

Didn't he say that like a decade ago? How can you spread that quote over time to refer to everything that has happened since because you do not know the context? Beside with PBF you always never know what his angle is until all his plans are all laid out.

to answer he question the biggest money fight that could be made out there right now

    1) v Pac
    2) Alverez, in a year or so . . . if he comes of a big win he will be ten times the name of Ortiz

read the question again.if he fights pacman he has to share the money.if he fights a cabdriver he can pay him 100 bucks and keep the rest for himself.so any bum/cook/cabdriver would qualify for this

I think the overall question is a lot more interesting that the mayweather one.

What I mean is, I see on boxing forums a lot of criticism of boxing fans about who X fighter is fighting next. Or that he is always fighting at home, or the likes.

When in reality, a lot can be explained by your title: "Legacy dont pay the bills".

I'm not saying that fighters should not think or try to attain a great legacy. I'm saying that boxing fans are too harsh and ask from those guys stuff that they would never do themselves.

For example a big crowd fighter like Kessler or Bute or the K's, etc. will generate a lot of money by fighting at home. It is easy then to call them protected or the likes, but in fact their opponent wants to fight in their home to have more money from the attendance and the fighter himself wants more money. So for sure his legacy may not rate as high as a road warrior in this, but as you said: "Legacy dont pay the bills".

yeah yeah yeah i get this but what i don't get is why he cries so hard when the fans boo him and when people say he hasn't done ****

if he was so not worried about his legacy why all the water works and hostility

  8. "Legacy don't pay bills"

    - actually I'd have to disagree. Many ex-athletes from a wide range of sports dine out on their legacy years after their careers are over.

So yes legacy can, and does, pay the bills.

because we all know floyd likes to say things without thinking that leads him to contradict himself from his past quotes. he would say legacy won't pay the bills but would say in an another interview that he is putting on the final touches on his legacy. he says he is out to fight a certain someone next but later deny it and accuse people of putting words on his own mouth.

    :think

You know both fighters would make a shitload of money. The fans would be happy, but Floyd wouldn't do it. At the very least he'd lose one of those fights if not all and as much as he likes to run his mouth he BELIEVES in that ZERO in the loss column more than MONEY... :smoke
