obviously true, but the question was one or the other only. anyone in the world that says legacy are intentionally and blatantly lying to all us posters and should lose any credibility that somehow was remaining with them. we can convince ourselves of many things (clearly, if people are honest on here the things we can convince ourselves of is truly crazy. stuff that is literally inpossibe) but this is one thing no one could ever covince themselves of
I would love to be rich but I don't want to be famous. If I could be like the Brit fighters who just stay in the UK fighting nothing but bums and make boats loads of cash without fighting real challenges, I would definitely do that. Then I would move to the U.S. where no one knew me so I can enjoy my money and not be bothered with being famous.
Unlike the many cabdrivers here, I'll be realistic and vote money. In the end, it's the money that will keep things straight.
If my chin is made of tissue paper, as you worded it, I'd definitely rather go for the easy money than getting ktfo and hurt, how can that even be a serious question?
Whoever says Legacy are kidding themselves. Money is what's important in this world. No one wants to keep fighting the hardest opposition for the pettiest of change. No one has ever done that.
What I'm reading is just a veiled knock on Mayweather. It seems that people want to put the man in a box and expect him to perform and act accordingly to what they deem appropriate, and if he don't, then he gotta be called a bunch of cowards and bitches and other bull****. The fact is that for this generation he is the best that ever did it and his legacy is set in stone. Who he did or didn't fight is irrelevant because whenever he fights, the audience is treated to a level of boxing skill that is second to none. The man is undefeated and making more money in that square circle that any fighter before him. That's legacy.
You're talking to people working for minimum wage on this forum (mostly Floyd fans) so of course people will say money However, after a certain point when you have enough money, it becomes more about legacy than earning money. This is not blatantly lying. You're probably broke so you don't have the perspective to see it from another angle similar to other Floyd fans. I read this quote from W.arren Buffet the other day and it applies to Floyd: Know What Success Really Means: "I know people who have a lot of money," he says, "and they get testimonial dinners and hospital wings named after them. But the truth is that nobody in the world loves them. When you get to my age, you'll measure your success in life by how many of the people you want to have love you, actually do love you. That's the ultimate test of how you've lived your life."
if you are working for money all your life, your choice of lifestyle is pretty pisspoor. Your life shoud be spent doing what you want to do, and your aim should be to sync your job with what you enjoy. You only get to live once after all, and its a short life, or it can be. not saying everyone gets the choice, and I am not critiscising anyone for chasing the buck, if you have to, you have to.
This is professional boxing asses, where the object is to fight for pay. The only sport in the us, which has no pension & professional union representation!
