Legacy: Winky Wright or Juan Manuel Marquez

Bull****. Winky isn't overrated people underrated him because they hated his style.:deal He had an ATG jab with solid defense. He could come forward applying educated pressure from behind a jab and tight guard walking guys down and making them look foolish. He was also a good counter puncher with a good workrate and had underrated toughness and ring IQ. If anything Winky was underrated and would have given anyone hell in the last 25 years from 147-160. IMO he beats Oscar, PBF, Canelo, Cotto, Martinez and Pac. He would be arguably the best fighter in the world today if he was in his prime.:deal

 

:deal. People see JMM as a great boxer and counter puncher because of what he did to PAC. What happened when he tried to counter mayweather? Precisely. Although themweightmissue of that fight is always going to cause controversy, it shouldn't make a differencemto how well you can slip a punch and counter as such. JMM has good defence, but not as good as winky.

 

JMM, but it's closer than people are making it out to be.

 

Winky is hands down the better fighter no question, but JMM has the better resume & would be considered the "greater" fighter in that sense

 

Forget about who's resume is better, the bottom line here is that JMM had and still has an all-around better skillset than Wright.

Marquez is the better fighter imo hands down.
