Legal live stream - "First Raight Presents A-Sign Boxing"

On Monday a show from Tokyo will be streamed live by a streaming outlet associated with the promoter. The stream is a LEGAL LIVE AND FREE one on A-sign boxing.

The card features some fighters that fans might be aware of, most notably Shoki Sakai (who will be making his Japanese debut), and Rookie of the year winner Hyoga Taniguchi, hard hitting teenager Jin Sasaki, enigmatic youngster Kosuke Tomioka and Takuya Yamaguchi (who has been a star in the pre-fight crowd funding for the event)

The event is promoted by Hachioji Nakaya in associated with Ichitaro Ishii, who is very much a forward thinking young promoter and becoming one of the more interesting promoters in Japan.

Bout # 1 Kosuke Tomioka (2-0, 2) Vs Shota Hara (2-2-1)

Identification - Tomioka is the zebra stripes/southpaw

 

1-Tomioka trying to use his speed for traps, Hara not biting, very quiet first round, Tomioka appears to have scare Hara though and has landed a number of nice jabs

 

2-A little bit more coming from Hara, a big left did hurt him though, Hara looks to have a graze on his nose, Tomioka trying to make Hara through, this is really disappointing from Hara and Tomioka staying in first gear

 

3-Hara finally showing more ambition than a dead slug, but....well...still not much there, Tomioka winning behind his clean jab, nice body shot from Tomioka, Tomioka completely controlling in a overly tame affair, a short left rocks Hara

Credit to the youngster for not getting too frustrated. **** Hara though.

 

4-Hara really not committing to anything at all, Tomioka finally going for him but it was only a single flurry. Tomioka spends the final few seconds skipping around the ring. Easy win for him, in a dull encounter.

 

Next up Ryugo Ushijima (3-1-2, 2) Vs Ryukyu Oho (6-3, 3)

 

Ushijima is best known for his war with Shota Ogasawara but also fought to a draw with Koki Kameda's cousin Kyonosuke last year

 

Idetification - Oho in blue

1-Oho slips as he comes forward ans is down after after about 15 seconds, clearly a slip. Ushijima dropped as Oho unleashes a wild shot on him he's up and looks with it. Oho keeps coming forward, they trade hooks and down goes Oho! Oho looks for a big finish

Both men down in the opener! Round goes to Oho, fun little 3 minutes!

 

2-Slower pace in round 2 to begin with, but both throwing some big bombs when they come together, can tell Ushijima has learned from his loss last time out to Taison Mukaiyama (where he looked very crude), but it's taken some of his aggression away, Oho with a huge head shot, followed by a body shot, big hook in return from Ushijima, Oho down right at the end of the round. Big turn around

 

3-Oho putting his foot on the gas a little more early in the round and takes the fight to Ushijima, Ushijima happy to hold and spoil up close, for a tall guy who has shown a lovely jab in the past, need to wonder Ushijima isn't throwing it at all here, Oho all pressure but little out put to go with it,nice hook by Ushijima who follow it up but gets countered as he gets too greedy, Oho looks for a big finish but misses and gets smothered.

 

4-Oho marching forward, and taking some big head shots as a result, suddenly feels like Ushijima has found some new energy in his legs but does have a bloodied nose, and has taken plenty himself, huge right hand from Ushijima. A round for him.
