I like the music with this. Fitting for an executioner! You can not like the guy or call him boring, but respect is deserved for the living legend. Most fighters dream of having his resume, and that's just 40 yrs old and past!:rasta

I wonder what Bernard is saying to Pavlik at about the 3:56 mark?

I am going to tell you the truth. Hopkins faked a low blow against Calzaghe, just so he could get a breather, so he wouldn't get Ko'd. And to fake a lowblow is just like turning your back on an opponent. I have no respect for him. He is gutless, and for him and his fans to think he the greatest ever for beating a smaller Pavlik, and forgetting all of his failures, ( I think he has lost like 3 of his last 6 fights, or 3 of his last 7 fights) It is embarrassing to see the wussies salivating over this guys butt. Loveing him all day! I would be embarrased supporting any guy who had to fake a low blow.

    u have to respect Hopkins.

I have never seen a guy with such a single minded attitude towards his goal.

The best way to summarise it he started fightign top level in 1992......and still fought the tough fights at age 43...and maintained his level.

Calzaghe has only justy touched Top level fighting and retired straight away. People dont understand the pressures of fighting at Elite level....the margin for error/dedication are so small, and the will to keep doing it at that level. Not having a go at Joe....Hopkins fights JOe then takes on a monster like Pavlik....Joe fights a lacy hten 2 Contenders.

Hopkins is a the most consumate pro in the histroy of boxing for prep work.

    another tribute to hopkins is

P4P physically the strongest bully i have seen from the past 15 years.

    he was so strong inside

even a warrior like Calzaghe tough as nails as he is, felt uncomfortable on the inside..Bernard was rough!

Okay, this is a bit off topic, but just for shits and giggles, let's imagine we can give Pavlik BHop's brain, and Arguello's accuracy.:think

I cant truly respect Bernard Hopkins.
Ill admit he was a great champion but fell short when it came to people who played the aggresor ( jones, Taylor and Calzaghe ) However someone like pavlik who was more or less a punch bag for the whole fight he looks good against.

However talented he is as a boxer he relies on dirty tactics to get him out of trouble like in the calzaghe fight where he would have been kod/tkod from exhaustion from the pressure calzaghe put on him and chose to hold and spoil as he does.

Sorry bhop you lost to a white boy
