duran beat prime leonard in his best night; leonard didnt beat battle-weary duran in the rematch. duran quit because of he was too drained to last a brawl. toe to toe was also leonards fight. iran barkley beat hearns twice, and duran beat barkley at his best weight, KDed him in the 11th. That speaks for itself

CRAZY!!!! Who do you think you are?!!!! you have no respect to Manny!
Better tell that your chicken floyd! :tong
your floyd is viewed as a ducker at this point, and the only thing that can change that perception is to stop his stupid demands so we can get that pac-floyd fight done!
I know you floydiots are celebrating but please don’t forget to buy your ticket for Pacman-Marquez,ok? It’s limited only and please be in a hurry. Well, i was informed that the tickets that they’ve produced is not enough bcoz too many people really wanna see this fight even floyd and duran are really excited about this fight, right duran?
and oh check this out http://www.gogvm.com/membership/buytickets.php -you might win VIP tickets here! :yep

No it doesn't, because Duran fought Hagler, Hearns, Benitez who are all time greats and some of the best fighters in history, and Duran was past his best.

Pacman is in his prime and is fighting lesser fighters thats why he's being so sucessful.

No he wasn't. He was 29 yo when he started his run at welterweight, still in his prime when Kirkland Laing beat his ass. He doesn't get credit for fighting Benitez and Hearns because he got totally dominated and handled by both guys.

29 is a #. Theres old 29 and young 29 when it comes to boxers. I'm sure you know this.

That's not the entire truth. He clearly DID NOT win a world title by punching a guy's balls after the friggin bell.If you've seen the fight, you would know that.First off,he DOMINATED the fight.Second,he threw the low blow after Ken had thrown 2 punches clearly after the bell had rung.Youtube it for yourself because it's obvious you haven't seen the fight yet.

And he looked brilliant at welterweight the Leonard rematch is his only loss at that weight,

    His record from lightweight to welterwight is - 72 - 2 - 0 (55 KO's)

The Kirkland Laing fight was at lightmiddle and Roberto was 31 years old for that fight.

Actually 72-2 is his record from superbantam to welter. He debuted at 119 and even beat a great fighter in Ernesto Marcel at 130 when he was quite green.

    I know about that

My post was more to reflect the fact that he only lost once at welter

    P.S

I always though his performance against Hiroshi Kobayashi was his best pre Buchanan

Cheers:good.Although I believe the Marcel victory was more impressive because Ernesto was terrific and Duran was what,19 or 20?
