Do you know who Thomas Hearns is?? In their primes, do you honestly think Freddie Roach would allow Manny to EVER fight Thomas Hearns?? Hearns was a freak WW, his length and power would do pretty much the same to Manny...One of those murderous left-right straight combos from Hearns and Manny would be seeing stars as well.

Hearns at WW is a terrible matchup for anyone based on his freakish size and athleticism at that weight class.

And to the person trying to compare Chavez' resume with Duran, you must be crazy. The majority of JCC's wins early on were against Mexican club fighters; off the top of my head I don't remember anyone in his first 80-85 fights that was in the same league as Esteban Dejesus or Ken Bucchanan. Only after he fought Meldrick Taylor and than CLEARLY lost to Pernell Whitaker did I give JCC his just due for fighting quality fighters...

If Duran was in his prime today, there would be no question or schoolgirl drama about just who was the best p4p fighter in the world, he would already have both Mayweather & Pacquiao`s name on his record, under the `W` column.

 

You`re telling me a green Leonard outboxed & stopped Wilfred Benitez 2 fights before losing to Duran ? Bull**** !

Give credit were its due, Duran beat a peak Leonard, something no other fighter including Hearns or Benitez was able to do & it is a legit win as well as 1 of the greatest wins AND performances in the sports history.
