There are far greater similarities to be drawn between Duran-deJesus 1 and Pacquiao-Morales 1 than there are between Duran-deJesus 1 and Pacquiao-Torrecampo, I think that's pretty clear.

The styles were of critical importance, but it's simple logic that fighter A is going to have an easier night with fighter B (boxer-mover the same weight and size as him) than he is with fighter C (boxer-mover with exact same attributes as B, but who is heavier, taller, etc).

Quite a few very good fighters though. Guys like Cuevas, Dejesus, Palomino, Buchanan ( where does Buchanan rank among all time LWs? :think) Kobiyashi....

When you think of any all time great, how many other all time greats do you come up with that beat more? Not many and most of them would be guys you'd rank over him all time anyway. Durans resume is pretty solid and is even better when you dig deep and consider the performance against Hagler or beating Barkely considering where Barkley was at in his career and where Duran was at in his.

My thoughts are Duran talks a lot of ****. His reign had very few seriously good, let alone great, challengers. A great fighter, yes. Also the most overrated fighter in the history of the sport. I'd take JCC, Pac, Pea and Floyd over him at LW for big money.

Duran hardly ever weighed in at the limit even when he was LW champ. He was a totally full fledged welterweight in his ww era.

This sounds so gay. I'm not talking gay gay, but gay to say gay. He beat a fighter who turned out to be a legend. Who did Hearns beat that was great or a legend? Benitez? Hill? Roldan? Those are good fighters, just like Duran beat a lot of good fighters. More than Hearns did. Who's greater Leonard or Benitez. Duran fought Leonard who was his last prime fights. He lost it, got his mojo back and beat Barkley who knocked Hearns the **** out. Who's greater Duran or Hearns? Who's greater Pacquiao or Duran?

Chavez and Pacquiao would get knocked the **** out by prime Duran. Duran lost to men in his prime. Duran was capable of beating all four guys.

Chavez would bend him over and **** him up his culo, just like that clown did when Duran was a kid, and just like Pac would except he'd be nice enough to give bigmouth a reacharound.

Now shut the **** up, *****.

I'm sorry, but all those fighters get beat...with pea and floyd having the best chances, and out of those two, pea has the best chance for success.

Chavez and Pacquaio get f***ing annihilated by Duran. Chavez has his chin but he would fall. Pacquiao doesn't even belong in the same ring as Duran.

yeah Chavez and Pac would have NO chance against DeJesus lol lol lol

There's no LW on Duran's resume that wouldn't get steamrolled by Pac and Chavez. ****ing STEAMROLLED.

Benitez clowned Duran because he's that much better. Hearns KTFO him like he was nothing because he's that much better. SRL clowned him two out of three like he was a joke because he's that much better, and it's SRL's own fault he lost the first one trying to outslug a slugger.

Dejesus was no can. I'm not so sure either guy has an easy fight with him. Dejesus beat Duran for realand thats because he was a good fighter. Chavez versus Buchanan would be a great fight.

Bear in mind, the guy you're trying to reason with now once said Jose Luis Castillo would beat down Roberto Duran at lightweight...

Hearns has better more prime guys on his resume than Duran does. He won his titles from Cuevas,Benitez and Hill. 3 Hall of fame fighters right there. And he stopped Duran when Duran was champion at 154. Duran really only beat one legit great and that is Leonard. Hearns moved up to 175 and beat an undefeated guy with 10 titles defenses in Virgil Hill 30 pounds above his first title weight.
