Yeah, some times you don't see shots coming and get hurt much more than you would otherwise. Ali for example was knocked out by Ellis in sparring when training for the Shavers fight. These things happen.

    Didn't matter.

Foreman was losing the fight prior to gassing.

If memory serves, he was losing at every stage of the fight.

Jack Nicholson said in an interview that he was once in a lift with Ali, and he stopped the lift and turned to Jack and said: "do something crazy" Jack replied: "what do you want me to do?" Seems like Ali thought movie stars were really like the characters they played.

Ali wasn`t landing harde shots than Foreman and didn`t hurt him till he gassed and didn`t KO him, Foreman`s mind looked clear he was just gassed, hitting someone while they are tired has more effect anyway, it was the heat that KO`s Foreman and he stupid work-rate.

Holy said he learned how to beat Tyson when he won his rematch v Bowe, he was too small in his first clash with Bowe. Holyfield weighed 205 pounds for that first Bowe fight. Holy weighed 217 lb (98 kg) in his rematch with Bowe.

I forgot the round but George took four or five jabs straight on the kisser. How do you not move or block them? They had to hurt.

Take more than jabs to hurt Tyson and Mike was far better at slipping and countering the jab than George. Tyson`s left hook was sharper than George`s because he was a converted lefty, Ali was very open to left hooks.

Hoylfield didn't KO Bowe and had a horrible KO record after he beat Tyson, so obviously the extra couple lbs didn't tremendously improve his punching power.

If both are 100% it would be a spectacular fight.

Foreman was being out-boxed from the opening bell.

The temperature was the same for Ali as it was for big George, and George was in his peak prime at 25, whereas Ali was almost 33...that's 36 by today's standards. :risunis:

    Sure thing.

    Watch round 15 of FOTC.

Frazier knocked Ali down with more than two and a half minutes left in the round , and landed some hellacious head and body shots for those two and a half minutes.

And Joe was unable to stop Ali.

Unless you feel that Henry a better finisher than Joe ?

This has been done at least 50 times over, it will just cause several arguments, very repetitive.

Only every time Frazier tried to get in close.

And that wasn't that much as their bout was pretty short.

C'mon John you are better than that.
The dude is completely wrong, show him.
But nothing points to the notion that he was trolling anyone.

One great example of Ali getting hit a good deal by Liston was the time he could hardly see because of the substance on Liston's glves.
How long was that? More than a round. He got hit a fair amount even before that.
I understand absorbing Liston's crushing body shots was a confidence builder for him.
