Which legendary Fighter's style (pre 1960s), would be least effective in the modern era? Conversely, which fighters would still possibly dominate?
Greb! Without such thin, thin gloves he’d have to demobilise and set himself instead of jumping around as much Ol HG wasn't a big hitter then and now he’d struggle mightily to gain respect with his power his inside fighting… his whole system may not exist for all we know with the absence of free thumb gloves.
Fitzsimmons. His style was described as odd even in the time period, and looks a bit strange and archaic on film too. His saving graces are his power and clever mind though. On the opposite side, Elbows McFadden was described as having a tight, modern style of defense and infighting which troubled fighters.
Mysterious Billy Smith would've been disqualified a ton today lol. Otherwise,I think Fritzie Zivic would've made Crawford cry in his locker if he fought today, with a lot of boos from the crowd too though.
