so I'm more into boxing but I enjoy MMA from time to time so what are some legendary MMA fights? Boxing has alot, so which MMA fights would be comparable to Barrera/Morales, Castillo/Corrales, Hearns/Haglar, Leonard/Duran etc. etc?

I'm sure there are others that others will post or mention.
Keep in mind that the gloves in MMA are vastly smaller than boxing gloves so you are lest likely to see epic slugfests in all the fights due to the fact that most fights will be ended after a couple of flush punches.
The fights i have posted are in my opinion the most important/exciting fights i could think of.

Do people really think that Hughes and Royce wasn't legendary? I mean, i think it is THE fight that shows old school can't handle new school.

    I'm not sure about that.

Royce was very inactive before the Hughes fight and also very old (38?) Matt Hughes isn't exactly known for his well roundedness either.
So i don't think it proved the multi style training "new-school" is better than the old single style training "old school".

I think the fight proved more Young active fighter > Old inactive fighter

I like to look at great fights with great fighters or fights that meant alot to the sport of MMA.

Fedor-Nogueria 1 (it started the Fedor era)
Royce Gracie-Sakuraba (old MMA vs the newer MMA for 90 minutes)
Renzo Gracie-Sakuraba (a war with a incredible ending with 2 Legends)
Couture-Belfort 1 (The Couture legacy started hear by overcoming the oddsmakers beating the Phenom up)
Wanderlei Silva-Rampage 2 (this was a very heavily hyped fight and godness it lived up to it pure classic all time bout)
Ken Shamrock-Don Frye (real life hatred at the time all put into a 20 minute war where Shamrock was robbed his ACL and Frye of his anklel)

Thats just a few on top of my head.

Actually the Fedor/Herring fight started it. Nog was Champion and Heath was gonna fight Fedor leading to a fight with Nog, guess what........... Fedor happens. I will say after seeing that fight, there was no doubt in my mind how tough HH is. He probably still has nightmares!

i think that a prime young royce would lose in the same fashion to that version of hughes. maybe he could catch a younger hughes who wasn't as well rounded but the one that went in against royce in there fight beats prime royce in the same fashion.
