I hate that the famous Usyk quotes are goofy things because of his broken english. If he'd done more things through a translator, I bet he'd have had some great quotes.

side note: why did public education not do as well for him with english learning compared to Wlad, Vitali, Bivol, Beterbiev, Hrgovic, Kabayel, etc? Seems he got unlucky with the schools he went to.

I remember Anthony Mundine's first opponent Gerrard Zoh's when he was interviewed before the fight he said "Boxing is all about smacking people in the head and getting smacked in the head that's why I love it"

"Hey man, I’m going to go home and break my wife’s hip. I ain’t had sex with her in a while. She is going to feel the pain … it’s going to be some pleasure mixed in there, but she might be crippled in the morning. So if anybody out there want to donate a wheelchair to the save the Miss Thompson fund

"I broke my back". The interviewer fell quiet for a few seconds, maybe thinking: Did I hear that right?
"What do you mean by that? ". - "My back is broken. ... Spinal!".

Who, in such a situation, would want to give even the slightest impression of doubting that?

Fabrice Benichou on Ring Magazine Best I Faced:

"The day before my fight, when I changed hotels to go to the hotel where the fight was to take place, I knocked on my wife's bedroom and she was naked in bed with my best friend at the time. I didn't think anything of it at the time, and besides, we had a peace and love mentality, so I didn't see the harm. But once I got in the ring, I realized when I saw the round card girl that I was a cuckold ... so I made a shitty fight. I didn't give a damn about anything."

    Damn that's rough.

    Remember her response differently:

Mrs. Wepner, after the fight, when her husband came back to his dressing room:
"Do I go to Muhammad's room or does he come to ours?"

Not so much a quote but I remember before Tyson v Lewis there was sn ad and Mike just said in a soft tone "Lennox Lewis, I'm coming for you" I still say it to this day when I walk upstairs to put my little ones lights off, using my boys name obviously.
