Not at all. Juan Manuel Marquez usually hits the deck when hit by a solid puncher, and Salvador was one of the hardest hitting 126lb fighters in history. It doesn't help that he is also technically sound, and although I see Juan having his moments, he'd be stopped down the stretch of a 12 round fight, but most Featherweights would be.

 

if it were at super-feather

then jmm would have a better chance, but still i can not see him doing it

At 126 JMM stands a very good chance. He was faster and technically better. People tend to rate older mythical fighters just that much higher. Watching both on film, I can see JMM playing the counter puncher with Sal walking into his combinations. He would keep him at range and then unleash those fast hands when Sal gets in range, Sal will land a few but JMM will slip alot of those.
