My three fav Mexican fighters of all-time are probably Marquez, Sanchez and Barrera. I just prefer their styles compared to others. Canto was a class act as well.

My favorite is obviously Barrera. I think his career was spectacular the way he improved and totally changed styles to reach to the top of the sport. His time at 122lb was like how young child actors of the 80s who fizzled, well Barrera was supposed to have fizzled after Jones, but he just came back stronger and stronger until he established himself as a legend of the sport. Beautiful career.

I love Juan Manuel Marquez and Cristian Mijares, who was robbed in his last fight unfortunately.

I don't like Morales. Never warmed to him. I don't render him as useless by any means as he was clearly a great fighter. Just never liked his style.

He wasn't more fundamentally sound at all. Just because he was stiffer and more limited doesn't mean he was a more textbook sound boxer. Sanchez was more skilled and versatile in pretty much every area. Marquez lacks the in-fighting and close-range skills to be compared to Sanchez from a technical standpoint. Since when has being a more fluid boxer been a deterrant when comparing technical skills?
