This thread has been bothering me for some ****ing time.

    A multiple page debate of

"CAN FLOYD MAYWEATHER BEAT A BAD HEAVYWEIGHT"

A fair amount of people said yes. Fine. I'll deal with it.

    Ok let's do another comparison.

I really do believe that a SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT 6'6 Olympian can KO
a lower weight ATG with a decade of professional experience.

    So let's do this:

Super Heavyweight 6'6 Anthony Joshua: Zero Pro Fights.
    Olympian. Baku Finalist.

Here is one of his fights:
    Joshua in Blue; 2011 Fight

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6HloUCp2Hg[/ame]

    vs

    ATG 5'8 Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    No weight limits obviously.

Pro Rules. 12 rounds. Pro Gloves.

    How does this one go.

    This is my fight predication.

Floyd clowns him for the first round. Joshua gets his jab going and utterly smashes through Floyd's shell and Ko him by Round 2.

THERE Is just no way to overcome the size. None. A case can't even be made.

I took Joshua who's probably the best of the under 22 Heavyweight Amateurs.

But realistically I can probably take even a shitty super heavyweight Am and he will Ko Cotto-Floyd-Pac etc.

As long as he got at least 30 AM Fights, I think he can beat any one of those easily.

Floyd will lose because Joshua has enough experience and training as a boxer. Also Floyd is considered feather fisted at 147 and 154 so how the hell will he be able to hurt Joshua provided his chin isn't completely vile. Bit of a ridiculous concept though

I know, I'm not insinuating you're ridiculous but the idea of a former featherweight being able to beat HW's is in the most case. I'd back floyd against some 350lbs bum who is only in boxing to fund his crack addiction

Joshua is a fool for not turning pro and going after 2016. He must no he aint good enough to compete in the pro ranks after those gifts he was handed at the olympics.

Still thats alot of cash hes pissing away.

No, he is very smart. He has very little actual boxing experience. He is raw as anyone who has ever won an Olympic medal. The more experience the better.

If he had turned pro, he would have been rushed and come unstuck. This way, whether he sticks around for 2016 or not, he gets massive international experience under his belt. And when he does turn pro, he will not only be a lot more ready, but he will still have the hype of being a Super Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist.

You can overcome a lot with skill, but ofcourse it has limits. No welterweight is beating a trained pro heavyweight. A big strong guy with no skills, yes I say the welterweight wins in a ring.

It is obvious that many here on ESB have never boxed before. Any real PRO heavyweight will beat up on any pro welterweight regardless of anything.

I seriously don't see Slow & fat Valuev can beat Mayweather if they can fight on the back foot & attack the body. Mayweather did beat Big Show after all

I'll have to agree with this, over a 12 round fight it will be too hard.

you have to consider Floyds best weight is not even welterweight its more like 130-135 so abetter boxer to compare would be SRR
