not the best bill but some decent match-ups: Bowen v Mccorry - Bowen has looked great and is very strong but has not been past 8 rounds. As a fellow Scot I am backing Mccorry for the upset! Gorman v Maldanado - good fight. Gorman pts or late stoppage for me. Hard to believe he is only 22 Sam Maxwell - looks like a good prospect and isnt up against much of a test here Willy Hutchison - looking forward to seeing him back in action. Really needs to get boxing in scotland more to raise his profile here
Terrible card. Willy still facing TBA McCorry has 0 chance. The Maxwell one is actually a bit interesting. He’s fighting a relative unknown who looks like can punch. Maldonado’s record looks brilliant until you look at his opponents! He has just went the distance with potential Fury opponent Rivas though losing every round. Gorman’s odds of 1/50 say it all. Challenger vs Haywood looks a decent match on paper but I’m not going to sit here and pretend I know a lot about either.
Presume Frank gets a free pass for these horrendous cards from BT on the basis that two or three times a year they get to show Fury, Warrington and Frampton?
Well yeah, same with Fury as well. Neither of them are going to be fighting over here at prime time anytime soon. I know Frank and BT are desperate for storylines, but you’d think Dubois v Gorman was the second coming of Hagler v Hearns with the hype it’s got, and will get before it inevitably headlines a PPV in December.
Nathan now fighting Kevin Johnson https://fightnews.com/new-opponent-for-gorman/42036 I suppose it will help provide a comparison with Dubois?
Yeah. Johnson's good for rounds against young novices but Gorman's sort of past that level. Still, better than nothing I guess.
