It's actually not a horrible fight on paper. But like you said, Larsen is as one dimensional as they come, and Solis is a world level fighter in every aspect except looks.:D

Larsen is 36/37. If he's gonna go for a world title, he cant **** around with the Danny Williams, Jameel McClines, or the Dings and Gaverns and Bydenkos for long. He needs to either beat a top ten, or forgo his attempts at a world title opportunity.
A loss to Solis will not change what Larsen is to the world. We all know he's past what he might have been, and to us, he's either a notch in a prospect/contenders belt or a retired fighter who never was.

I think he'd win some big fights vs soft chins like he has already done, but he hasnt faced any formidable punchers who werent 7-10 yrs past it.

I'd actually like to see him continue if for nothing else, to help some prospects/contender remain active vs decent opposition not yet delegated as a journeyman. But I think he'll probably retire after this loss or the next. :think

Excellent fight for Solis, working up to another title shot the right way.

Agree with this. Larsen will probs retire after losing to Solis, which is a shame because I'd love to see him in with some glass-jawed "prospects".

Deontay Wilder would be lucky to come out alive if he fought Larsen.

Your English is incoherent but I will attempt to respond to you based on some of the words you have used.

Larsen is an awesome athlete, as is Airich. Both cause more damage with their power shots than most WW1 weaponry, but sadly both are lacking in skill.

Airich is younger and faster than Larsen and does appear to know the basics of boxing though not much more than that. Yet he was easily outpointed by Solis.

Larsen may hit harder than Airich, as his awesome shot put best distance of over 18 metres and his bench press record suggest, however he is so unskilled and slow that he will get stopped here unless he is able to land a lucky shot on an out-of-shape Solis, or if he has an iron chin.

Bit of an odd fight. Solis should win, Larsen seems like he can hit but isn't the most skilled guy.

Its good Solis is getting some rounds in after the injury and layoff. It would be good to see him try to get into some sort of eliminator in a fight or two. He's got a short window before his age and weight start to eat away at his skill.

This is a big oppurtunity for Larsen, he's 37 and if he's going to go anywhere he needs a win over someone like Solis but I can't see it happening.

A Norwegian guy on the Boxrec forum who claims to have trained with Larsen says that he benched 665lbs with no lifting aids, and that he hits far harder than Airich, and is therefore arguably the hardest hitting boxer of all time.

He sees this fight turning out differently to the Airich one, because Solis's guard will not be able to stand up to the unprecedented power of Larsen.

Apparently, this chap was unconscious for 10 minutes after Larsen KO'd him.

KO from the 5 minute mark onwards. Jesus ****ing Christ that's a brutal KO.

La Madrid never fought again after that - not surprising.

God I'm so pumped for this fight now. Larsen has the potential to absolutely wreck careers with his power. I'm still backing Solis to win, but if he can be bothered to research Larsen beforehand he'll know that he needs to turn up in decent physical shape.

Is there any actual evidence of this fight taking place outside of Boxrec? Do have a habbit of just making random stuff up.

It's been reported on several sites since being put up on Boxrec.
Most notably the German site Figosport which is respected and usually reliable.
To be fair to Boxrec, they don't make stuff up, they just report on what they're told by promoters.

Regular testing is commonplace on the Euro boxing circuit.
Larsen has competed in athletics, judo, NFL and boxing and has never failed a drugs test in an incredible sporting career spanning over 20 years.

    :deal
At this rate, I'm going to have to change my avatar soon and get behind Larsen. I may do so after the Tupou fight on Saturday.
