Yeah thought he was excellent. He definitely hurt wood numerous times. Credit to wood to pulling it off.

My bad, he must have got it sorted. There was issues with him being linked to the MTK stuff before which was why he stopped boxing in NY. That’s the only reason he was boxing in Belfast, earning less money than what Arum was paying him stateside. Good news for him then.

I agree. There may still be some big paydays for Warrington who did surprisingly well.

By the way : I've been terribly busy with work the last few days but saw Matchroom's event this morning and what a fight between Wood and Warrington ! Fortunately, it lived up to expectations. The rest of the event was not particularly exciting and then I'm personally getting tired of all these women's fights as co main event feature.

Sunny Edwards is really good and skilled at communicating. It's great to see that DAZN UK has started to associate some people who have a real passion for boxing.

I agree. Saunders has behaved badly and is not a role model. Very surprised that Matchroom is giving him a second chance, but I guess it's because of the lack of stars in their stable...?

The notion of 'voluntary defences' reeks because of this. By all means put him in non-title fights but jumping the queue after his recent record is crazy.

Hearn was going on the other day, about how he will only tolerate 'big fights' from now on - no soft touches. I often wonder if it was because Benn's last soft touch turned out too hard, or because ticket sellers need opponents. It's certainly nothing to do with sport.

I fully understand that DAZN UK would like to sell this PPV event next Saturday but approx. 117 times we were made aware of the KSI / Tommy Fury event. It's way too much promotion and it's annoying. After a commercial break, it is fine to draw attention to upcoming boxing events on DAZN UK, but not between each round.

He’s been saying that for years though, when he went through his ‘if our fighters aren’t box office potential then blahblahblah’ crap.

He’s clearly feeling the pressure and falling out of love with the game. I bet he’s only happy when he’s chatting **** to his YouTube minion interviewers.

I kind of get his notion that experienced boxers shouldn't need a 8/10-rounder or a knockover to get back in after a loss. Eddie must love Warrington and Wood in that case.

So (other than being guaranteed revenue) why is he letting AJ do it?

Just that I think, awaiting his ‘bucket load’ of Saudi money for the Wilder fight which never came. Left with egg on his face again. He doesn’t seem to care though, onto the next gaff it is….

And you're right, I think Eddie likes his image in boxing more than the promotions, hence getting Frank Smith to do the graft. His rant last night at the Harper result was a tell-tale that boxing is slowly making him the bitter guy he swore he'd never be.
