    That's a long time

Still, they should've allowed him to chance a hold or something. I wonder if Davison looked at the clock at all

I've seen times where fights like this were allowed to go on and the very next shot ended it. we'll never know if that happened.

Wood could have took a knee. and got to the next round

Running and holding buys a lot of time, and Wood had already proven to be quite adept at hugging Lara when in danger. It was an absolutely perplexing bull**** call.

We need Warrington vs. Lara 3. We need Lara to finish the job haha. Once and for all. And retire that dirty POS Warrington.

It's not like Ben couldn't have waited 10 seconds or whatever it was and assess the situation in the corner and go from there. Would give him a chance to look in the eyes, ask some questions, ect.

Then if he thinks it should be stopped he can go from there.

Hard for me to agree with stopping a fight your home fighter is winning, with seconds on the clock.

But who knows... maybe he did the right thing and it actually saved Wood some real damage.

Still, hard to support stopping the fight when a break and closer inspection is one clinch away.

**** Lara right after the fight spit in Warrington's face. Jesus I like how Lara just won a come from behind fight, wins his first world title and his first thought is to curse out and spit at Josh Warrington.

I changed my mind, Luis Alberto Lopez vs Leigh Wood, Warrington Lara 3 double bill

I'm a bit late to say it but I gotta say it now, Lara is a ferocious animal with an unparalleled ability to give us madly entertaining fights. Even when the pace is slowed down a bit that impending sense of a dangerous shot incoming is always there to leave you on the edge of your seat. My words don't justify the value of the action he allows us to speculate. He's a treasure of particularly spectacular action in this boxing world full of action.

Hell yeah!! And truthfully those whiners who support this ridiculously premature corner stoppage are clearly in the minority.

He'd already hurt Wood twice during the fight and proved incapable of adequately following up. A half dead Lara wouldn't have been any more successful/

Watch Wood rise from the dead and fight on another 11 rounds after being dropped in round 1 by Conlan. That was a savage KD

While I understand the sentiment for the towel, Wood was done. He was wobbly the entire time. He could have gotten hit with another flurry of punches. There was plenty of time. Even if he survived, had the minute rest, Lara was empowered from the knockdown. Did Wood survive Conlan? Yea. But Conlan is not Lara when it comes to power. That punch was a clear turning point in the fight.

Is it just me or does Lara look like he could be a bantamweight compared to the likes of Warrington and Wood

Running, holding, faking a slip. Taking a knee. 80%+ chance he survives that round.
