    Wood needs different tactics defensively because if Lara can get to him he will knock him out again.

    They let Fury continue because Freddie Roach was in the corner. Don’t forget Davidson apparently was crying in the corner when Wilder put Fury down in round 12.

    Olu, he was not losing the war at all. He was in control by that point, had forged ahead into a handy lead, and he just got a bit too greedy and made a mistake and got caught with a great left hook. Conlan looked to be taking Wood's punches better than Lara was but Wood short-circuited him with a solitary right hand. You're ignoring the fact that Wood also hurt him numerous times and that he's a Gatti gene fighter. A fighter who proved his warrior spirit in the fashion he did against Conlan deserved an opportunity to prove it again and a fighter like that is never out of a fight, especially a big puncher.

    Wood tactics were incredible for 95% of the match, what the **** were you watching? Most thought Wood wouldn't see the second round, yet by the 6th, most had given up on a Lara win.

    The scorecards were irrelevant because we suspected beforehand that however it played out this won’t go the distance . By the 2nd round it wa s clear it won’t go the distance and I knew it would end inside 8 rounds.

    Like I said Wood was winning on points but was losing the war. I see what I saw which is why I called it. I even wrote that Woods is boxing well but Lara is getting to him and having an effect. Frankly I am surprised you seem shocked by the outcome because it became predictable to me.

    I'm not shocked by the outcome I favoured Lara via KO and thought it was a dumb decision to opt to face him in a voluntary. Wood was the one dictating and in control and had been for a number of rounds. Lara was obviously still dangerous and Wood just got caught against the run of play.

    Well if you read my comments I had not . I gave Wood rounds 1 and 3, Lara 3 and 4 then stopped recording my scores because I knew the knockout was coming. Read my comments in this thread. Most don’t understand boxing like I do.

    I respectfully disagree as Wood was making a lot of defensive mistakes putting himself in positions for Lara to get to him.
