I agree. I definitely see them making Lara Wood II next though unfortunately. I’d prefer Wood Warrington.

 

Warrington should be red faced after that garbage verbal assault.

 

Is Leigh Wood a massive draw in Nottingham after a loss? I genuinely don't know the answer to this so someone from that way might be able to answer?

I remember Ritson in Newcastle drawing big arena crowds until he lost and all momentum was gone, football fans love a bandwagon to jump on but it soon becomes less attractive when they've seen a loss.

 

Wood vs Warrington is better to have next imo. To see who gets the right to have his chin cracked against Lara again.

Lara has the number for both and simply too tough.

Wood will also stop Warrington as his best years ended around 2020 and he is a brutal KO waiting for the punch.

 

Both Josh and Tony just want to get home to their wife and kids tonight.

 

I thought a stoppage for Wood was coming, he was catching him with clean crisp shots in rounds 5 and 6, Lara looked hurt to the body and was back pedalling at times. I do think Wood should have concentrated on more of a body attack but I still thought he was going to take over in the second half of the fight and could see him walking Lara onto something as he was boxing so well and landing clean and regular. What a shot to end the fight from Lara though, serious power. Great fight.

 

From DAZN and Wood's point of view it makes more sense for the rematch. If Wood loses again he can still fight Warrington, after all both would have been stopped by Lara. Wood gets paid twice and DAZN gets two headliners.

Just watched the highlights. Is there actually a discussion as to whether the stoppage was early? Wood was out of it and about to be folded.

 

He looked worse against Conlan and stormed back to win plus there was only about 10 seconds left in the round to go when the towel came in. It was stopped early

 

I actually think the Wood Lara rematch would be worth making if Wood gets a real trainer.
