It's a shame that for both Wood Lara and Yarde Beterbeiv which were sold out and such good main-events that they had such bad undercards. Both cards also suffered with 1 pullout each which didn't help.
as Beterbiev-Yarde showed, promoters know you can put any old garbage on the undercard and get away with it if the main event is enjoyable
I'm looking forward to the main event. I've still got DAZN for now so will tune in. What do people think for who wins? Lara won me over eating pizza after the weigh in (I'm also pro pizza) but Wood's a good humble pro so I hope he wins). Glad he got elevated, should be earning really good money now.
I think Wood takes it on points - it's not too likely that he's going to stand and trade with Lara the way Josh did - unless he gets hurt and the game plan flies out the window that is. Lara's dangerous but there to be outboxed
If wood can box the way he did against can xu then he can definitely beat Lara on points/maybe a late stoppage. The bookies have Lara the favourite
It isn't great, not helped with the Clarke Spelman pull-out. Looks like Cheavon Clarke and Galal Yafai are moving the quickest out of the Olympians. Gamal Yafai has a tough test against the guy who drew to Lee McGregor. Dalton Smith is also fighting on April 29 against Sam Maxwell so I'm not complaining too much with his opponent. Gary Cully is against an unbeaten American. It's very poor but much better than the Yarde Beterbiev card.
