    Real smart of Wood to keep his majestic forward sloping curly perm hidden under a cap. Lulling Lara into a false sense of security by making him think he's shaved it off.

    I suspect Wood might even have leveled it up by growing it an inch longer and he may well even have had highlights done to all but guarantee the knockout.

    Lara better book a seat for the big L that will be accompanying him on his flight back home to Mexico City because this one is a wrap. Real talk.

    It's a good fight but I don't get why Hearn didn't just make Wood v Warrington? Wouldn't that have been a much bigger fight in the UK?

    He is keeping it hidden because the game plan is to surprise Lara with his slick new haircut and KO him while he is in awe and think ohh ahh would has a slick new haircut

    They are thankfully, have been since August of '21. They also stripped all of their interim titlists and then spent the first chunk of 2022 ordering fights between them and Regular belt holders, then planned to make them fight the "Super" champions in consolidation fights. Wood vs. Conlan was actually an instance of the former.

    Funny thing though, I think so far only one Super-Regular consolidation fight has happened. Not due to the WBA slacking off though, it's just in most cases the belt holders opted to drop the belt for one reason or other. There is one coming up at Strawweight though, and after that there will only be five left, at Lightweight, Welterweight, Middleweight, Super Middleweight and Heavyweight. I feel like most of those will prolly end up being elevated at some point rather than doing consolidation fights too. I really don't care though, I'll just be happy when they're all finally gone :D

    Fight is getting close and I’m really stoked for it. Either Lara can blitz on Wood and put a beating on him like he did Warrington or Wood withstands the onslaught and surprises Lara with a comeback assault.

    Wood’s got the haircut of a 16 year old who wears adidas 24/7 and sneaks out to smoke weed in the park at night

    he’s gonna regret looking back years from now and having the broccoli cut during the peak of his career…it did cushion his fall when Michael Conlan dropped him though
