Did anyone see avanysians ko 1 win over Kerman and should it have been stopped? The ref gave Kerman ages to revive himself after the first knockdown, then no chance at all after the second knockdown!

**** yes, it was a ridiculous stoppage. A poster said Jones-Rose 1 like, and he was right.

Was well early, he didn't even look particularly unsteady after the 2nd knockdown.

Is there a need for a straightener? I admit I was shocked at how quickly and how easily avanysians punches rattled Kerman. The Spanish guy is very very one dimensional. Avanysian couldn't miss his head with those winging, wide swipes. It was just too easy for him really. Just keep clubbing away at the side and back of his head and he has no answer!

Bad stoppage but probably done him a favour he was about to get destroyed and now he has an excuse bit like the first Groves - Froch fight

Interesting. He appeared to be boxing conservatively, playing it safe. But the looping hooks were going around his guard and hurting him. Once he started fighting back he opened up and was doomed. He just isn't versatile enough.....too one dimensional.

He got up too soon after the second knockdown and stumbled at one point on his way towards the corner. The referee probably looked at that and looked into his eyes and decided it wasnt worth him continuing. Especially if the referee was worried he was going to get hurt and dropped again. Looking at it even though there was 35 seconds left, I think he would have been hurt badly and dropped again in that round.

All in All, the stoppage was too soon. But it wasnt majorly too soon as you could see why the referee stopped it at that point.

Yeah he seems to only have one way of fighting and couldn’t adapt. Also I think he’s been one of those fighters benefitting from an aura of invincibility and using intimidation to his benefits and has come up against an opponent that didnt care.
