Quillin has very little power. Lemieux FAR exceeds chocolates power:rofl:rofl

I like this fight, Lemieux should win by ko(Guerrero just isn't durable enough), but its a pretty fun fight while it lasts.

I don't think the winner becomes a top 10 middleweight with a win tomorrow but they will probably be just outside of it.

I'd like to see GBP try to match Jacobs up with the winner if we don't get Quillen-Jacobs first.

Put it this way: Quillin has substandard power for a world champion (less than Golovkin and Martinez by quite a ways, but still no less than fellow titlist Felix Sturm) while Lemieux has above-average power for a fringe contender. :good

It still amazes me that Lemieux didn't send Alcine's head into the 19th row.

Why? Alcine is an underrated, tricky *******.

Lemieux wasn't mentally recovered from the Rubio fight. After Lemieux blasts out Guerrero, I'd like to see Lemieux have a quick rematch with Alcine this summer.

I have the impression GBP & GYM are planning on a Lemieux/Quillin fight on the undercard of Stevenson/Hopkins in the fall/winter. If Lemieux wins that I'd have to wonder how a Lemieux/Alvarez fight would unfold.

He will just get outwitted and outfought again. Joachim is simply wrong for him and showed he still has a bit left (as much as he did handling Lemieux) recently against the shopworn D-Rod.

The Alcine fight was really close. It was indeed a split decision. I myself had Lemieux winning after rewatching it. Alcine, although a weak champion, was still a world champion at some point and came to fight that night. A rematch would have Lemieux winning.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. Guerrero has been hurt by almost every decent fighter he's been in the ring with. Lemieux's power is no bull**** so unless Guerrero gets to him early I would assume that Lemieux will at the very least get a couple of knock downs.

I was surprised by the decision in the Alcine fight. I actually scored it for Lemieux. But I wasn't pissed that they gave it to Alcine. In the end that kind of humbling may have been good for Lemieux, who essentially had HBO dates lined up and a potential crack at either Chavez Jr. or Martinez lined up if he had of gotten by Rubio.

I watched the same two fights when breaking this one down as well actually. I agree with everything you say ACCEPT don't leave out the fact that Lemieux still at times pulls out of the pocket straight back while standing straight up. This was the shot that Rubio was looking for all night and Guerrero's best shot is to look for it.

The other thing watching some Guerrero fights has given me is an appreciation for Guerrero's toughness. Guerrero actually has a pretty decent beard he just leaves his hands down too much and gets caught with too many shots. When he gets his hands up he can work his way out of being hurt. He's come off the deck to win at least 4 times in his career. I still think his ass is going to get put down by Lemieux but I`m not counting out Guerrero`s toughness.

    He is

I was just looking at Lemieux's power + Alcine being naturally smaller and not known for his chin. Kind of a close minded way of looking at it but . Maybe I'll watch it again.
